Universal Seal Celebrates Federal Investment in Women-Led Innovation.

We’re proud to announce that Universal Seal Inc. has been named one of four women-led companies selected to receive federal support from the Government of Canada, through the Federal Economic Development Agency for Southern Ontario (FedDev Ontario).

On January 22, 2025, Minister Ruby Sahota shared news of a $3.4 million investment in CASSEN Testing Laboratories, Nexxt Intelligence, Tristar Coatings Ltd., and Universal Seal Inc.—all recognized for their leadership, innovation, and impact across Canada’s economy.

This support marks an exciting milestone for Universal Seal, empowering us to scale up operations, modernize our manufacturing capabilities, and expand our global reach. As a proud women-led company founded in 1967, we specialize in the production of polyurethane hydraulic seals, serving clients in over 20 countries worldwide.

We also salute the Government’s broader commitment to women entrepreneurs—including a $750,000 investment in the Women’s Innovation Initiative, supporting more than 230 women-led ventures across southern Ontario through training, mentorship, and export readiness.

Together, we’re building an inclusive economy and a more innovative future for Canada.
